When it comes to ADHD, Autism, and neurodivergent support, it can feel hard to know who truly understands. I want you to feel confident that when you join my virtual support skills group or work with me individually, you are in a space that is both professional and deeply understanding of neurodivergent experiences.
Lived Experience Matters
I am neurodivergent and was late-diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. I know what it feels like to be misunderstood, to try so hard with the best intentions, and still struggle to maintain friendships. I understand the frustration of fluctuating executive function — one day you feel capable and productive, the next day you’re stuck on the couch and feel ashamed.
For years, I pursued therapy under the impression that if I just “tried harder” my “PTSD” symptoms would go away. Once I learned about my own neurodivergence, a light bulb went off. I learned to work with my brain versus trying to “heal it away.” I learned about my sensory needs, executive function rhythms, and communication styles, finding the support I need became much easier.
This lived experience informs how I teach and guide neurodivergent adults in both individual therapy and group settings. I bring empathy without judgment, practical strategies, and a deep understanding of the challenges neurodivergent people face.
How That Shapes My Approach
Under my approach, you can expect:
- Practical energy management and executive function tools like Spoons Theory and what I refer to as “ABC Plans”
- Communication skills and scripts to navigate friendships and community relationships (because sometimes we just need someone to give us a script)
- Tailored therapeutic support informed by Somatic work, IFS, and DBT
- A supportive, neurodivergent-affirming environment where your experiences are understood and validated and you can witness others on the same journey.
Whether in our skills group or individual therapy, I focus on giving you strategies that actually work in daily life — to help you advocate for yourself, maintain meaningful connections, and prevent (or recover from) burnout.
A Down-to-Earth, Neurodivergent-Affirming Space
I strive to make therapy and skill-building practical, empowering, and safe. You can count on guidance that honors your unique energy, strengths, and challenges, without shaming or overcomplicating things.
