For years, I pursued therapy under the impression that if I just "tried harder" my "PTSD" symptoms would go away. Once I learned about my own neurodivergence, a light bulb went off. I learned to work with my brain versus trying to "heal it away." I learned about my sensory needs, executive function rhythms, and communication styles, finding the support I need became much easier.
